Major attractions at the Rotterdam Fun Fair

The Rotterdam Fair can certainly not compete with the great German fairs or the huge Fair in Tilburg, as for some reason Rotterdam's inhabitants are too down to earth for that... Yet every year Rotterdam attracts over 60 major national fairground attractions for adrenalin junkies. This happening takes place twice per year: in April and in October.

Higher, faster, feeling nauseous already?

The Rotterdam Fair has a number of spectacular scoops each year. The 'EXL R8' is present again. This fairground attraction offers you a fast ride, being atttached to 80 meters high booms. If that's not cool enough, you can ride the 'Chaos' or be rocketed high into the sky in the huge 'Bungee Catapult'. The Rotterdam Fun Fair also offers those classic fairground attractions like White Water, Breakdance, some roller coasters and the Crazy Shake.

If all these fast rides are not your cup of tea, or if you are simply looking to find that "old-Dutch ' fair feeling, the Rotterdam Fair also hosts bumper cars, go-karts, and the caterpillar. (Try to grab the ponytail off the ball, while you ride around ...). For younger guests there is a merry go round, a giant's stride, and some smaller roller coasters. They can also ride ponies and walk a maze.

Firework Show at the Rotterdam Fair

On Kings Day, a huge firework will illumitate the Rotterdam sky in from 10:30 pm. The Fair is an excellent place to watch.

Mega Fair Rotterdam Ahoy

An alternative fair 'Megakermis' takes place early June on the Ahoy parking lot in the South of Rotterdam, but that's not on a regular basis.
