Spectacular show of brass bands
The Netherlands Military Tattoo in Rotterdam is an impressive live show of Dutch military orchestra of the Royal Dutch Navy, Air Force, Army and Military Police. During the show modern and classical music are interspersed with each other, Besides drum music, also acrobatics, dancing and folklore performances take palce. In the Netherlands, the military tattoo has been organized in Delft, Breda, Den Bosch and Rotterdam since 1953.

Foreign guest appearances
During each edition of the Military Tattoo, a number of foreign military bands and civilian orchestras participate as well. This creates a versatile live show from the first till the last minute!

Historical Scene
Each tattoo edition, a particular historical scene in military history is depicted. The modern peace-keeping tasks of the army are highlighted. It is not just about the music. In 2011, with the completely renovated decor, you can prepare for a spectacular light and music show during the grand finale.

Netherlands Military Tattoo by public transport
The Military Tattoo is held in Rotterdam's multifunctional centre Ahoy in the South of Rotterdam, near the Zuidplein Mall. You can easily reach Ahoy Rotterdam by Metro or Bus, stop Zuidplein. Plan your trip with the public transport planning site www.9292.nl. It's free of charge. To travel by public transport in Rotterdam you must purchase a travel chip card first.

Netherlands Military Tattoo by car
If you come by car, follow directions to Ahoy on the Ring Motorway (A15 South - exit Zuidplein/Ahoy). You can pay to park your car in front of Ahoy; a lot of parking spots are available here. When travelling to Ahoy, you might encounter some traffic nuisance, especially at major events! Parking at Ahoy costs €11,00. If this parking lot is full, you can pay to park in the Zuidplein Mall garage. From there it’s a 5 minute walk to Ahoy.
