De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE (the Amstel Friends LIVE) is one of the most famous music festivals / concerts in the Netherlands, where Dutch and Flemish artists to make a fantastic show!

The Amstel friends started as a television show with a group of artists, but their real fame came with the annual concerts in the Ahoy Rotterdam venue. In recent years, nearly 100,000 party people have visited the concerts to enjoy the artists. During previous editions, many famous Dutch and Flemish singers performed at Amstel Friends, such as Jan Smit, Kane, IOS, Krezip, the 3J's, het Goede Doel, Nick & Simon, Jeroen van der Boom, Rob de Nijs, Guus Meeuwis, Rowwen Heze, Di-rect, Acda & De Munnick and Boudewijn de Groot.

In 2012 the Amstel friends have a spectacular line-up again! Expect big names like Kane, Rowen Heze, De Dijk, Jan Smit, Van Velzen, Jurk!, Barry Hay, Waylon, Trijntje Oosterhuis and Racoon. Hosting by Xander de Buisonje. Most weekend concert have already sold out.

De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE! Rotterdam by public transport
The De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE! is held in Rotterdam's multifunctional centre Ahoy in the South of Rotterdam, near the Zuidplein Mall. You can easily reach Ahoy Rotterdam by Metro or Bus, stop Zuidplein. Plan your trip with the public transport planning site www.9292.nl. It's free of charge. To travel by public transport in Rotterdam you must purchase a travel chip card first.

De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE! Rotterdam by car
If you come by car, follow directions to Ahoy on the Ring Motorway (A15 South - exit Zuidplein/Ahoy). You can pay to park your car in front of Ahoy; a lot of parking spots are available here. When travelling to Ahoy, you might encounter some traffic nuisance, especially at major events! Parking at Ahoy costs €11,00. If this parking lot is full, you can pay to park in the Zuidplein Mall garage. From there it’s a 5 minute walk to Ahoy.

DATES De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE! Rotterdam 2012

De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE! is a great annual music event in Ahoy Rotterdam. The 14th edition is scheduled at 20-22 and 25-28 January 2012. Shows start at 8.15 pm and end at 11.15. The afterparty continues till 0.30 am in the morning!
