City Racing Rotterdam: Formula 1 in Rotterdam
City Racing Rotterdam (used to be named Bavaria City Racing) is the biggest Formula 1 event in the Netherlands (600.000 visitors!) with different Formula One teams performing amazing demonstrations in the streets of Rotterdam. It’s not the real deal Grand Prix, but it’s still spectacular to experience the speed and sound of those racing machines! City Racing is such an interesting concept that in this event is also be organised in other big cities like Moscow and Dublin.

Famous names in Formula One
World famous Formula One drivers like Jarno Trulli, Giancarlo Fisichella, David Coulthard, Fernando Alonso and local Dutch heroes Robert Doornbos, Tim Coronel, Jos Verstappen and Jan Lammers have shown their driving skills to the public in the past.

More than only Formula One in Rotterdam
City Racing Rotterdam has more in store than only Formula One. Other world class racing competitions like Legend Cars Cup, Superleague Formula and Formula Two demonstrate their skills here as well. You will feel the speed and will be thrilled by the roaring engines on the street circuit of Rotterdam. The smell of burning rubber of all of these racing cars is overwhelming. The day after, big black tire marks on the streets is all there will be left, so don’t miss it!

Formula One Simulator at the Family Square
Don't forget to visit the Family Square at Binnenrotte (opposite to Blaak metro and train station). All kinds of racing cars are displayed here. Experience what it's like to be Formula One driver in the simulator! If you’re lucky you’ll get an autograph from one of the famous drivers and have your picture taken with them. The Family Square offers entertainment for both children and adults.

RaceSalon Rotterdam
For hard core racing fans, the fantastic pre-event called RaceSalon takes place in Rotterdam's exhibition centre Ahoy. The RaceSalon is Holland’s biggest indoors paddock with a racing fair, stunts and even more demonstrations by Formula One and other top racing teams. RaceSalon is held on Friday and Saturday before City Racing Rotterdam and is a great warm-up for the main event!

Do you feel the need for speed?
If you are a petrol head, you can't miss this racing festival! Admission to the City Racing Rotterdam event is free, but if you like to have a really close look at the drivers and their cars, you need to buy a quite expensive ticket for one of the grand stands. Tickets can be purchased on the City Racing Rotterdam website. If you’re relatively early, the best spots along Coolsingel or Hofplein are still available for free. To stay in the Formula 1 mood, the Harbour Club Rotterdam hosts the official After Race Party on Sunday evening. The Dutch television station RTL5 also dedicates a show to the City Racing Rotterdam event on Sunday evening.

Romain Grosjean of Lotus F1 will attend Rotterdam aswell.
