Horse Riding in Rotterdam
The Concours Hippique International Officiel (CHIO) is the biggest international (outdoor) horse-riding event in the Netherlands. It's one of the top international equestrian events offering something for everyone, whether you are a horse enthusiast or not! You can admire the best international, national and regional horse riders competing in jumping, eventing, driving, vaulting and dressage during this event with a tradition of over 60 years! The event takes place at Lake Kralingen in Rotterdam.

The world's most talented riders
The best horse riders of the world participate in this spectacular equestrian show. You can see both European, World and Olympic champions competing to win this prestigious tournament. Riders like Jos Lansink, Meredith Michaels Beerbaum, Ludger Beerbaum, Albert Zoer, Michael Whitaker, Marcus Ehning, Beezie Madden, Laura Kraut, Piet Raijmakers and Anky van Grunsven have been participants and winners of the Rotterdam CHIO in the past.

FEI Nations Cup in Rotterdam
One of the highlights of CHIO Rotterdam are the FEI Nations Cup Top League series. The four best rider/horse combinations from eight countries around the world battle in this elite competition which takes place at eight international venues. The Netherlands have won this competion for the last time in 2003.

Longines Grand Prix Port of Rotterdam
Another highlight of the Dutch CHIO is the Grand Prix for international show-jumping at 1m60 with jump-off. A total prize money of €200.000 can be won during this Grand Prix! In 2008, the Dutchman Albert Zoer has won the price for the Netherlands.

Shows, entertainment and restaurants at the Rotterdam CHIO
CHIO Rotterdam stands for five full days of international competition, sports, socializing, shopping and entertainment and is an experience that you don't want to miss! In the Kidsvillage has all kinds of horse activities for children, including an inflatable juming castle. On the stage in Strodorp (Straw Village) of the Rotterdam CHIO, some famous Dutch artists have performed here in the past. In Strodorp you can have dinner at several restaurants or go for some basic Bram Ladage french fries. Payment with a special rechargeable CHIO chipcard.
