FEYENOORD ROTTERDAM TOURNAMENT
The Feyenoord Tournament is a yearly football tournament organized by the famous Dutch footballteam Feyenoord Rotterdam. The tournament is played at Feyenoord's home ground the Feyenoord Stadium (also called 'De Kuip'), the famous stadium with most European finals ever!. Four teams play two matches (one on a Friday and one on a Sunday) and the team with the most points is the winner of the tournament! Since the start of the tournament in 1978 some of the best teams in the world have played this tournament: Everton, Santos FC, Benfica, Galatasaray, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Werder Bremen, Anderlecht, Celtic, FC Porto, Tottenham Hotspur, Schalke '04, Gremio, Manchester United, AS Roma, Arsenal, Fluminense and Real Madrid to name a few!
The tournament is used as a preparation of the new football season and gives you the opportunity to see the stars and the new players of all the teams! So if you want to see some of the best teams of the world in a mini-competition in a fantastic atmosphere you have to visit this tournament! You can buy your one or two days tickets at Feyenoord internet site or at the sales offices at the stadium.
You can combine your visit to to the Feyenoord Tournament with a stadium tour and a visit to Feyenoords Home of History. Here you can see the European Cups and the World Cup that Feyenoord won and enjoy Feyenoord's great history with legendary players like Wim Jansen, Coen Moulijn, Wim van Hanegem, Ruud Gullit, Johan Cruyff, Robin van Persie, Drik Kuyt, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Ronald Koeman, Henke Larsson, Jon Dahl Tomasson, Pierre van Hoojdonk, Roy Makaay and many more!
DIRECTIONS FEYENOORD ROTTERDAM TOURNAMENT
The Feyenoord Tournament is held in Feyenoord's legendary stadium 'De Kuip' at the Van Zandvlietplein 1 in the South of Rotterdam. The easiest way to get to the stadium on matchdays is the train from one of Rotterdam's stations. The trains stop in front of the stadium at the Rotterdam Stadion station. You can also take tram 23 from Rotterdam center to the Stadium.
If you come by car you need to take exit Feyenoord at Rotterdams Ring Road (Highway A16). There are parkings close to the stadium but you will have to purchase a parking ticket. It might be very difficult to get a free spot close to the Stadium so it's advised to use public transport!

The Feyenoord Tournament is held yearly as a preparation for the new football season. This means that the games are usually played late July or early August.
