The World Ports Classic is a two-day cycling race between Rotterdam and Antwerp. The cycle race is part of the UCI World Tour and therefore the best cyclists of the world participate in this event.

Race along the dikes and through the polders
The World Port Classic is a new cycle race and the first race is organized in 2012. The intention is to grow the World Port Classic in the coming years into a true cycling classic. The flat course over the windy dikes and polders will be a real challenge for the sprinters.

Round trip from Rotterdam to Antwerp
The race starts on a Friday in Rotterdam and then goes through Zeeland and Brabant to Antwerp over a distance of 180 km. The riders will return onde day later from Antwerp to Rotterdam on a different route through Brabant. The exact route is currently unknown but it is expected that the journey from Rotterdam to Antwerp will be similar to the first stage of the Tour de France when the Tour start was in Rotterdam.
