WORLD TENNIS TOURNAMENT ROTTERDAM
The World Tennis Tournament Rotterdam is a tennis tournament part of the International Series Gold on the ATP Tour schedule. The tournament is played on hard court in Rotterdam's multi-functional complex. There are finals for mens single and double. Sixteen players and eight doubles try to win the title each year. The singles start with two rounds before playing the quarter finals, the doubles only play one round before the quarter finales. The tournament starts on a Monday and the finals are played on a Sunday. There are games every day from the morning till the evening.
Former Wimbledon winner Richard Krajicek is the current tournament director and manages every year to get some of the world's best players to come to Rotterdam. Since the start if the tournament in 1972 great players like Arthur Ashe, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl, Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, LLeyton Hewitt, Roger Federer, Radek Stepanek and Rafael Nadal have tried to win the Rotterdam World Tennis Tournament!
During the tournament there are special activities scheduled for ladies, children and families. At Monday and Tuesday ladies can enjoy sparkling fashion shows with the latest tennis trends and of course the tennis games! At Wednesday, young tennis fans (aged up to 12) can enjoy various activities like Street Tennis, autograph sessions with leading tennis players, a tennis clinic and even a real Kids Press Conference. And at Saturday families have the opportunity to buy a family ticket for the semi-finals at an extremely attractive discount. There will be activities for the entire family on the day, including interviews and signing sessions in the Tennis Plaza.
During all days you can enjoy all kinds of activities during or between the games in the Tennis or Sports Plaza. The Tennis Plaza offers you a great variety of shops, fashionable restaurants and bars and entertainment; it even might be possible to meet one of the tennisplayers in person! The Sports plaza allows you have a try at a variety of sports, like street tennis and beach tennis. You have the opportunity to see spectacular sports demonstrations in the Sports Plaza as well!
You can buy your tickets for the tournament online at www.ticketservice.nl , except for the special tickets for Ladies Day, Kids Day and Family Day. Those tickets have to be purchased by contacting Ahoy either by phone or by visiting their sales offices. Tickets for the tournament can be bought for the afternoon or evening sessions, but you can also decide to buy a tournament ticket, which allows you to see all the games during the tournament!

DIRECTIONS WORLD TENNIS TOURNAMENT ROTTERDAM
The World Port Tournament is held in Rotterdam's multifunctional complex Ahoy Rotterdam in the Soutch of Rotterdam close to Zuidplein Mall. You can easily reach Ahoy Rotterdam by Metro or Bus to Zuidplein.
If you come by car you have to follow the signs 'Ahoy' at the Ring Road (A15 South - exit Zuidplein/Ahoy). You can park your car in front of Ahoy where there are a lot of parking spots. You will be charged a fee of 10 euros for parking your car at the Ahoy parking. Make sure you leave early when coming to Ahoy because there will be a lot of trafiic jams at major events!
