A hotel on board a ship?

The hotel ship Aldebaran is a bed and breakfast accommodation in Rotterdam that is suitable for larger groups. You can stay overnight with a group of up to 30 persons on this two-master. On the deck of the Aldebaran there´s is a spacious lounge area, which is covered on a rainy day. The ship is located in the middle of Rotterdam city centre, what else could you (and your friends) possibly need?

Centrally located near shops and nightlife

The Aldebaran hotel ship is moored in the Wijnhaven, just behind the Maritime Museum. The Harbour Museum Rotterdam has displayed some historic ships and port equipment here, which creates a nostalgic atmosphere. Aldebaran is located close to the popular shopping streets Hoogstraat, Koopgoot,  Lijnbaan and Coolsingel.  Rotterdam Museum ans many restaurants are within walking distance as well. At night you can easily walk to the nightlife areas Old Harbour area or Stadhuisplein with plenty of outdoor lounge areas. From Aldebaran you have easy access to all sights and attractions in Rotterdam as the metro stations (Blaak or Beurs) are just around the corner.

Nine types of bedrooms

The interior of the Aldebaran is decorated in a traditional Dutch style and contains a large group space, which can be used as a shared living room. This group room contains a kitchen and a fridge as well for your personal food and drinks. Aldebaran boasts 9 different rooms (cabins), all equipped with underfloor heating. There are single and double rooms and some of them have a private bathroom. All beds can easily be converted into bunks so that makes a total of 30 beds.

Unfortunately bookings only during winter time...

In summer the Aldebaran is sailing out on lake IJsselmeer and that means that during this period you can´t spend the night on board the ship in Rotterdam. Usually you can only book a room on the Aldebaran between mid-November and early April.
