Hoogstraat Rotterdam

Hoogstraat Rotterdam: great shopping street!
The Hoogstraat (means High street) is one of the main shopping streets in Rotterdam in city center. The Hoogstraat connects the Koopgoot shopping street with the Binnenrotte where Rotterdam's biggest market is located.Shopping at Rotterdam Hoogstraat
Hoogstraat more or less starts at the big market square called Binnenrotte, close to Blaak railway station. Next to Rotterdam's library you can drink Rotterdam’s award winning cup of coffee at Bagels and Beans (Hoogstraat 129b). You have to cross the Binnenrotte to walk to part of the Hoogstraat with all the shops. On your left side you will see a big construction place where the new covered market hall of Rotterdam is being built. A little bit futher you will find a number of jewellers and tasty Surinamese sandwiches at Chinny. Opposite to Chinny(next to the Kruidvat drugstore) you can walk to the Grotekerksplein with the Oqium store that sells exclusive sneakers. On the Grotekerksplein you will also find the Kids Marina attraction; a nice break for kids while shopping! Back on the Hoogstreet there are a number of fashion shops like Jack & Jones, ONLY and Vero Moda. Opposite to Vero Moda you can taste the best fries of Rotterdam at Bram Ladage. Now walk along Hoogstraat to Invito (shoes), Sport 2000 (sports), McDonalds and Blokker. If you are looking for body care and health products have a look at De Tuinen (Hoogstraat 191). Visit department store V&D not only for their wide variety of goods but also for their roof top terrace Laplace that offers a good lunch with a nice view on the city center (Hoogstraat 185).Shopping at Korte Hoogstraat and Rodezand
Make a short detour from Hoogstraat (abeam Peek & Cloppenburg (big fashion store) to the left for alternative clothing at the Funky House (Korte Hoogstraat 15a) or for cosy home and kitchen decoration at Dille & Kamille (Korte Hoogstraat 22).Visit Cappucino (Korte Hoogstraat 23) and enjoy their extraordinary coffee specialties. Make a short detour from Hoogstraat to the right to Fleur (Rodezand 21) for female high fashion and trendy shoes and boots. For affordable men’s suits have a look at Suitsupply (Rodezand 9-13). When you walk back to Hoogstraat you're at the start of the Koopgoot with lots of fashion shops. You can reach Rotterdam's main shopping street Lijnbaan by walking through Koopgoot.

Gezellige straat!
