Rotterdam's exhibition center De Kunsthal is a complex, bold and amazing exposition space, a museum without collection, but host of about 25 expositions each year! More than 3300 square meters of exhibition space are available in the striking buildiing designed by the famous architect Rem Koolhaas. The Kunsthal presents culture in the widest sense of the word: old masters, forgotten cultures, fascinating photo’s, innovative design and contemporary art - from elitist to popular. The large exhibition space allows De Kunsthal to run 5 or 6 exhibitions in parallel and therefore offers a fascinating journey along art and culture in the full sense!
De Kunsthal frequently experiments with themes which in many cases provide the first impulse for an exhibition. There have been many expositions in De Kunsthal varying from Dinosaurs, Impressionism, Architecture, Lingerie, Alberto Giacometti, Leonardo da Vinci, Glory of Rome, Blackfoot Indians, Jewels of the Orient, Pop-art, HAIR and many others. But not only the exhibitions in De Kunsthal are fascinating, De Kunsthal itself is a work of art in its own right. The sloping floor planes and a series of tightly organized ramps provide seamless connection between the three large exhibition halls and two intimate galleries. Its position, wedged between a busy highway and the network of museums and green spaces known as the Museum park, allows it to function as a gateway to Rotterdam’s most prized cultural amenities. So both De Kunsthal itself as well as its exhibitions are well worth your visit!

Monday Closed Tuesday 10:00 - 17:00 hrs Wednesday 10:00 - 17:00 hrs Thursday 10:00 - 17:00 hrs Friday 10:00 - 17:00 hrs Saturday 10:00 - 17:00 hrs Sunday 11:00 - 17:00 hrs The museum is closed at 1 January, 30 April and at 25 December.

DIRECTIONS Kunsthal Rotterdam
De Kunsthal is centrally located in the Museumpark in city center. You can easily get there by taking the metro to Eendrachtsplein, tram 7 to Museumpark or tram 4 to Eendrachtsplein.
If you come by car you can park your car in the in the streets but you will have to pay. You can also use the parking of the Erasmus Medical Center close to the Kunsthal.
