Fly to Rotterdam
There are lots of options to get to Rotterdam by plane! Rotterdam is only 19 minutes away from the international hub Schiphol airport, but Rotterdam has also got it's own airport which is the second largest airport in the Netherlands. You can also decide to fly to Eindhoven airport, which offers a lot of lowcost flights or alternatively to the international Brussels airport, which you can easily reach with the high-speed train Thalys. Explore the different options and check what's the most convenient option for you! Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam)
Schiphol Airport offers connections all over the world and is only 60 kilometers away from Rotterdam! You can easily reach Rotterdam by taking the high-speed train Thalys. This takes you only 19 minutes, but take into account that you need a reserved seat for the high-speed train. You could also take the regular train, which takes you 47 minutes but you don't need a reserved seat and it's much cheaper. All major airlines fly to this airport including Royal Dutch Airlines KLM, British Airways, Delta Airlines, China Airlines, Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Maylasia Airlines, SAS, United Airlines and many others. There's a special terminal for low cost airlines as well, so there should be a flight that suits your needs and budget!Rotterdam Airport
Rotterdam Airport is a good option if you fly from Europe. The airport offers several connections to major cities in Europe, like London, Manchester, Rome and Geneva. Rotterdam airport is located in the north of the city and has a good bus connection to the Central Station in city center. The Rotterdam Airport shuttle leaves every 10 minutes from the airport to city center and back. It takes about 20 minutes to get to city center with the airport shuttle. Tickets cost less than 3 euros and can be bought at the bus driver.VLM Airlines and Transavia offer flights to Rotterdam from Hamburg, London, Manchester, Rome, Nice, Toulon, Geneva, Girona and Grenoble. Eindhoven Airport
You can use Eindhoven airport in the south of the Netherlands to get to Rotterdam as well. Eindhoven airport is a small airport which offers several low cost airlines like Ryanair, Wizzair and Transavia. They connect to London, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Marseille, Madrid, Boedapest, Dublin, Paris, Pisa, Istanbul, Katowice, Stockholm, Hamburg, Valencia and Reykjavik. Eindhoven airport is 106 kilometers away from Rotterdam center. There's a bus every 15 minutes to Eindhoven Central Station where you can take the train to Rotterdam Central Station. The train will take you in 1 hour and 10 minutes to center of Rotterdam.Brussels Airport
Brussel Airport is located in Belgium, 115 kilometers south of Rotterdam. It's Belgium's main airport with connections from all over the world. There's a train every 15 minutes from the airport to other stations in Brussels like Brussels Central Station, Brussels South Station and Brussels North Station. At these stations you can take the high-speed train Thalys to Rotterdam, which will take you only 1 hour to get to Rotteerdam Central Station.
