Rotterdam is centrally located in the Netherlands and has got a good connection to the Dutch rail network and to the highways to other cities in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Rotterdam also has got its own airport and a fast train connection with the national airport Schiphol. Rotterdam is perfectly accessible in any way you travel!
Reach Rotterdam from the Netherlands
When you're already in the Netherlands the easiest way to travel to Rotterdam is by car or by train. The train takes you right to city center and if you come by car there are numerous car parks available. When there are big events it is advised to park your car at a Park + Ride location just outside the center. Are you travelling from The Hague? Then you can take the randstadrail to the Central Station of Rotterdam. And from Dordrecht or Kinderdijk you can take the waterbus as an alternative way to travel to Rotterdam.
Travel to Rotterdam from abroad
From abroad, you can easily fly to Rotterdam - The Hague airport which is just a few kilometers from the center of Rotterdam. In case there's no flight from your place to Rotterdam you can fly to Amsterdam Schiphol airport which is about 50 minutes from Rotterdam. From England you can also take the ferry to Hoek of Holland and you can also take your car. Last but certainly not least you can travel with a cruise ship to Rotterdam.
