Efteling Holland is one of Europe's leading theme parks. Efteling is a very enchanting theme park that can compete with the famous Disneyland! Efteling used to be open only in summer and during winter holidays (Winter Efteling ) only, but meanwhile Efteling offers many indoor attractions and it's open all year round!
Small kids will love the adorable fairytale forest with castles, gnome houses, dragons and trolls. In the Efteling magic forest 26 interactive fairytales are recounted, such as Snow white, the Chinese Nightingale, the Sleeping beauty, the Dancing shoes, the Little red riding hood, Hansel and Gretel, the Wolf and the seven kids and of course Cinderella.
Efteling offers top attractions which are suitable for the entire family. The old steam train takes you to all attractions within the Efteling theme park, such as the 19th century steam powered merry-go-round, the horsemen show Raveleijn and Monsieur Cannibale's simmering pots that will spin you around and around. Efteling is best known for its giant family attractions such as Fata Morgana, Dream Flight and Pagode. Don't go home without having seen the spectacular water show Aquaruna and maybe you have the guts to enter the haunted castle...
For youth and adults, Efteling offers a couple of attractions, that are simply sensational! Experience the rotating House Villa Volta or ride the Piraña whitewater or the bobsleigh track. Try not tho get sick in the Half Moon swinging ship or of course in the numerous roller coasters. Joris en de draak is a very fast double wooden roller coaster. Efteling's latest roller coaster is the exciting Baron 1898, with a huge free dive!
You can also combine your Efteling visit with an overnight stay in the enchanting Efteling Hotel. The hotel is located near the park entrance and offers some sweet theme suites. Your kids will enjoy one of the playgrounds while you relax your on the 18-hole golf course. " I wasn't sure what to expect but I was more than happily surprised. The staff are friends and speak a minimum of three languages, English being one of them. There is lots to see and do and caters for those who love fast rides and those of us who don't. The surrounding areas are so clean, beautiful and well looked after, it's worth going just for the views. The fairytale land is wonderful, though don't expect to hear the story's in English but you can work most of it out and its all part of the fun. Need a minimum of 2 days to cover everything. Ques are not as bad as other famous resorts and there is an app you can download which let's you plan your day and shows the waiting times for rides. A couple of extra you need to get tickets for, like shows but they are free to get but limited. They cater for wheelchairs and prams. You can even get two different types of child prams so if they get tired they can be pulled round the grounds while resting. Lots of food choices. Though main meal after 6pm has to be booked in advance and fills up quickly. The grounds close at 6pm and they do a good water show everyday. We'll worth a visit."
" Fun each and every time you visit. No matter how often you go. Their app with waiting times is really nice but often too optimistic in waiting times. If it says 10 minutes it's at least 20 minutes. Love how they manage to maintain the quality and style throughout continuous expansions. Look for the deal at the German Groupon site which appears several times a year and offers an amazing discount."
" Ok so I went here with my girlfriend for the first time, we are in our 30s :) It was part of the Netherlands trip, a must! This park does indeed appeal to all ages. There is something for everyone here. There are not a Ton of crazy rides, so people seeking a greater amount of thrill rides may or may not appreciate this park's overall goal; This Is A Park Catering To All Age Groups. As for my lady and I, we pretty much ran the whole gauntlet and were thoroughly impressed. Going early on a week day does help though, as we found it busy enough even on a non-peak time. WARNING! The Aztec/Mayan water ride WILL get you quite wet, depending, so take heed of your clothing prior to that! Yeah... We were among the lucky ones to get a good soaking.. :D Ah well, all part of the memories!! There are ample food and drink stations, sitting, shade, restrooms. We brought our own lunch but snacked often along the way despite it. Prices are reasonable enough; what you'd expect from such a place. Overall I'm giving Efteling a 5/5, it captured my heart. I'll come back with my own kids some day on a future trip to the beautiful Netherlands. What a charming, well-maintained place :) Thanks! -- Lee --"
" A fun place to spend day with family, alone or with friends. Despite being the weekend, the wait lines for rides are not more than 20 minutes. Public restrooms and eateries are in abundance. Beautifully planned natural spaces with lakes, gardens, flower beds and very well maintained fun theme parks, rides, castles etc. Won't be able to the entire park in a day, need 2 days at least if one is interested in rides. Medium level roller coasters as well as small kids friendly rides. Only off point is the closing time in summers. When the days are long, the park should have longer operating times. And the magical fountain show is quite colorless to watch in daylight when it's post 6 pm but the lights which could really put the effect in place , are unseen due to day light being up."
" It's a very nice amusement park. It has a lot of fairy tail related things to see and some nice rides. But there's a limited amount of attractions and it increases the waiting time. There's plenty of places to eat and if you want to bring your own food, there's also plenty of places where you can seat and eat."
