" Interesting museum, presented and organized different from any other I've visited. The small rooms around the outside of the building necessarily break the exhibits into small groups focused on short windows of time and stylistic eras. I'm not sure I always grasped the intent, but the presenters of their audio guide made every effort to share the curators' insight along the way."
" Great visit. We really enjoyed the large collection of art. The only disappointment was that the few paintings we came to see where on loan including Tower of Babble, just our luck. The cafe had speciality sandwiches, a nice selection of drinks and good deserts."
" Fantastic museum, that does not just host art, but has a heavy focus on design through the ages. The building is also beautiful in a quite subtle way. And unlike the museums in Amsterdam, it's quiet enough that you can leisurely stroll through without feeling like you have to compete with others to look at things. This is a must for anyone living in or visiting Rotterdam."
" Not enough time to appreciate this excellent museum. Will require many visits to do it justice as it cannot be hurried to appreciate the well planned displays which are not lumped together as is the usual case. Organise several visits to do smaller parts in greater depth which will be most rewarding."
" Gorgeous gallery, lots of interesting pieces from a wide variety of times and styles. Some of the Dalis I wanted to see again (my last visit was 24 years ago) were out on loan which was a shame, but I had more time this visit and was delighted to discover works and artists entirely new to me. If you love art you will need several hours, perhaps the whole day. The restaurant is excellent quality, not cheap but good value for what you get, and the staff are fantastic. Don't do Rotterdam without doing Boijmans."
