Shopping in Rotterdam is thrilling due to major department stores such as Bijenkorf (comparable to Macy’s) and Vroom & Dreesmann, the largest regional Media Markt electronics store, but above all many shops for clothing, shoe shops, records and sports articles. Around the city center you'll find many unique stores that you will not find in any other Dutch shopping street, but only in Rotterdam. If you are keen on bargains, you might stroll at the market for a multi-cultural range of cheap stuff every Tuesday or Saturday.
