If you stay in greater Rotterdam with your family for a couple of days, a day trip to one of the attractions in the vicinity of Rotterdam is great fun for your kids. Theme parks in Holland for kids
Theme park Duinrell in The Hague offers fun attractions for families with kids until about the age of 12, including the ‘Tikibad’ swimming pool with many fast water slides. Theme park Efteling is one of Europe’s leading theme parks and the best family theme park in the Netherlands by far, comparable to Disneyland Paris! Every season a brand new roller coaster or attraction is launched at Efteling. Beaches near Rotterdam
Rotterdam Beach (called Hoek van Holland) has got a couple of great beach clubs and is increasingly popular among locals. Hoek van Holland is easily accessible by train and there's also free parking available! Scheveningen beach is located near The Hague and is much busier compared to Hoek van Holland. Scheveningen offers lots of beach clubs, shops, a large sandy beach and a very nice and brand new beach promenade.

The impressive Delta Works protect the south of the Netherlands against flooding and it's a fun and educational attraction for kids as well.
