Miniature City Madurodam Holland

Madurodam is a miniature city with models of well-known buildings and landmarks of the Netherlands. It’s one of the major tourist attractions in the Netherlands.
Moving models
The city contains a historic center, modern neighborhoods, a little harbour, a little airport, canals, roads, card, trains, planes and more. All models are built on a 1:25 scale and some of them move after inserting a coin.Well known landmarks in the Netherlands
You can see models of all well-known landmarks in the Netherlands like the Erasmus bridge, the Euromast, the Binnenhof parliament buildings, the Maeslant storm barrier, the Royal palaces, Amsterdam center with the canals, Schiphol airport, the Muiderslot Castle and many more. You can also enjoy typical Dutch neighborhoods, farms, natural parks, bridges, castles and mills.Schiphol airport and train models
The biggest model is Schiphol airport with terminals, traffic towers, runways, airplanes of many different airlines and a highway with cars and trucks. The model railroad with its length of 4 kilometers is the longest model railroad in the Netherlands. The model includes railroad stations and bridges and of course the trains that you are used to ride in real life! All models in Madurodam are made in Madurodam’s own workshops and every year new models are added to the city. They even prepare real models of trees by frequent pruning; trees that normally grow to fifteen meters are kept only 60 centimeters this way.

loved it, but so did the adults.
