Lightrail between Rotterdam and The Hague
RandstadRail in Rotterdam is a lightrail connection between The Hague and Rotterdam. This lightrail also stops in other surrounding cities like Voorburg, Leidschendam, Nootdorp, Pijnacker and Berkel en Rodenrijs. Randstad Rail is a very quick and comfortable way of traveling: the trip time from Rotterdam to The Hague is 30 minutes only! There are several stops in Rotterdam: Rotterdam Blijdorp, Rotterdam Melanchthonweg and Rotterdam Meijersplein. Since 2011 the RandstadRail lighrail has been connected to the Rotterdam metro system and has been depicted as dark blue metro line E.

Ride RandstadRail or take the train?
If you want to travel all the way to The Hague, it's faster to take the intercity train (24 minutes instead of 35 minutes) from Rotterdam Central Station. RandstadRail is slightly cheaper though!
Randstad Lightrail Rotterdam schedule
Randstad Lightrail departs with 15 minutes intervals on weekdays and every 30 minutes during the evening and weekend. Lightrail trains from The Hague to Rotterdam depart from 06:30 till midnight. RandstadRail lightrail trains from Rotterdam to The Hague depart from around 07:00 till midnight. During the weekend and public holidays the RandstadRail system is operated at a limited capacity.
